Waterbury - Susan Stevens, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ziedler) Stevens, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital.
Susan was born February 19, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH. She was a long time resident of Cheshire before moving to Waterbury and was an active volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Susan is survived by her daughters Lori Balfanz of Wonder Lake, IL and Christine Rousseau of Waterbury; her brother Mark Stevens of Middlebury; her sisters Cynthia Stevens of Cheshire and Martha Stevens of Worcester, MA; her three grandchildren Michaela Rousseau, Joseph Balfanz and Alexia Rousseau; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Monday February 22, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheshire Animal Shelter 500 Highland Ave., Cheshire, CT 06410.
