TORRINGTON- Susan Elaine Parker, 58, passed away October 21st at Valerie Manor Nursing Home in Torrington after a long illness.
She was born November 10th, 1952, daughter of the late Rev. John W. Parker and Marjorie ( Andrew) Parker.
Susan was a graduate of Wilby High School Class of '72, and received an Associates Degree in Bookkeeping from Naugatuck Valley Community College. She was a member of St John's Episcopal Church and was a volunteer at Waterbury Hospital for 20 years.
Susan is survived by two sisters, Cindy Seguin of Centerville, MA and Carol Walters of Plymouth, CT, a brother, David Parker of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and three nieces, Alyssa Beck of Centerville, MA, and Nicole Parker and Sabrina Parker of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Arrangements: A Memorial Service for Susan will be held 11 A.M Saturday, November 19, 2011 at St John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church St, Waterbury, 06702. Her ashes will be interred in St John's Memorial Garden following the service. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Sue's name be made to the Village for Children at www.villageforchildren.org. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Avenue 06710, is in charge of the arrangements.
