NAUGATUCK- Miss Sharon Ashman, 70 of Naugatuck, passed away Thursday May 26, 2011 at the Vitas Hospice Unit at St. Mary's Hospital.
Sharon was born in Ansonia, Dec. 13, 1940, a daughter of the late George and Doris (Pendelow) Ashman and moved to Naugatuck in her childhood. She was educated in the local school system and had worked for a number of years for Dr. Harold E. Davids and later for the Lewis Engineering Co. for over 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed traveling and trips to the casinos.
She is survived by her twin sister, Sandra Kalinowski of Naugatuck and a niece April Kalinowski and a nephew Ronald Kalinowski; several close friends, Lynn and Larry Cabral and Barbara Carignan and Joy Tranquilli. She was predeceased bay a brother, George Ashman.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2011 at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours.
