CHESHIRE- Ruth W. Stutzman, 96, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at Elim Park Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ernest T. Stutzman in 1984, after 36 years of marriage.
Mrs. Stutzman was born on November 5, 1922 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Kuzma and Mary (Bishko) Woloshinsky.
Ruth graduated from Wilby High School with high honors, and retired from Uniroyal after 38 years of employment as an Administrative Assistant. A former member of the First Baptist Church in Waterbury, she will always be known for her inner strength, peaceful demeanor and deep Faith.
Mrs. Stutzman’s family would like to express sincere appreciation to the healthcare staff at Elim Park, Cheshire for the care and compassion they displayed towards Ruth during her stay.
Ruth is survived by her sister Betty and her husband Edward Valuskas of Waterbury; a sister Esther Jones of Montgomery, TX and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Walter Woloshinsky, Helen Woloshinsky, Violet Coleman, Ann Owens, Olga “Alice” Hunt, and Dorothy Hall.
Arrangements- A private graveside service for Mrs. Stutzman will be held at Riverside Cemetery, 496 Riverside St, Waterbury, 06708. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, 06704 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
