Ruth Boland

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth (Jones) Boland, 81, of Naugatuck, passed away Thursday evening Dec. 29, 2011 at Ashlar of Newtown. She was the widow of the late Eugene G. Boland.

Mrs. Boland was born in the Bronx, N.Y., April 7, 1930, a daughter of the late John H. and Frances E. (Arkills) Jones and had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 6 years, moving here from North Carolina. She enjoyed Line dancing, needlepoint and crafts.

She leaves 3 step-daughters, Kathy Yannepolos of Annandale, VA, Becky Lamson of Naugatuck, with whom she made her home, and Donna Olmo of Bridgeport; 2 uncles, Edward Jones of Suffern, NY and Artie Jones of California; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Jan. 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Naugatuck, 9 Division St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting the family with the arrangements
