Rose Costa

CHESHIRE- Rose Costa, 90, passed away, Friday August 25, 2017 at Southington Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband Philip Costa.

Mrs. Costa was born March 29, 1927 in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Benedetto Sr. and Laura (Catrambone) Anello.

Rose was a Sales Associate in the Jewelry Department of J.C Penney, a job which she truly loved and was amazing at until her retirement. She was an avid cook, but above all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Katherine and her husband Robert Castro of Port Jefferson, NY, Charles Costa and his wife Michelle Ludwig of Port Monmouth, NJ, Christine and her husband Bruce Caldwell of Cheshire, and Gloria and her husband Michael Cody of Cheshire; six grandchildren Joseph and his wife Lisa Castro of Old Saybrook, Michael and his wife Stephanie Castro of Mount Sinai, NY, Katherine Cody of Luzern, Switzerland, Philip Caldwell of NY, NY, Thomas Cody and Steven Caldwell of Cheshire; and seven great-grandchildren Noah, Gabriel, Aliana, Owen, Carlina, Nate, and Michael, and her nieces Laura Kenzig and Phyllis Carapazza. Rose was predeceased by her sister Gloria Megliola, and her brother Benedetto Anello Jr.

Arrangements- All Services for Mrs. Costa will be private. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Donations in her name can be made to Mulberry Gardens of Southington, 58 Mulberry St, Plantsville, CT 06479.
