NAUGATUCK- Mr. Ronald W. Gray, Sr.72, formerly of Naugatuck, passes away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 Peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Jeri Ann (Ashe) Gray, who passed away in 2002 after 40 years of marriage.

Ronald was born in Montpelier, VT, Sept. 26, 1938, a son of the late Leona and Gerald Aldrich. He was a long time resident of Naugatuck and a member of the United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement in 2002, he had worked for 35 years at Sikorsky Air Craft. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, playing cards with friends, and watching wrestling.

Ronald is survived by his eldest daughter, Debbie L. Gray, and youngest daughter, Dorothy L. Crocker and her husband, Jeff Crocker, Sr.; 8 grandchildren, Ricki L. Lake, Rebecca L. Crocker, Jeff B. Crocker, Jessie N. Crocker, Casson J. Crocker, Connor W. Crocker, Robert Gray, Cameron Gray, and great-grandson, Landen A. Zilli all of Naugatuck; 2 sisters, Carol Gagne and brother-in-law, Peter Gagne; sister Shelly Maskell and one brother Gary Gray all of Barre, VT. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his 3 sons, Richard J. Gray, Ronald W. Gray, and Gerald A. Gray; and a brother, Steven Aldrich

A memorial service will be held on Saturday Feb. 5, 2011 at 2 pm at the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck, 214 Meadow St., There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
