Ronald Barlok

Cheshire - Ronald Barlok, 67, of Old Towne Rd. passed away Sunday January 25, 2009 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Barbara E. (Harris) Barlok.

Mr. Barlok was born December 31, 1941 in Elizabeth, NJ the son of the late Andrew and Genevieve (Wisniewski) Barlok. He graduated from Hillside High School class of 1959 and from Muhlenberg College obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Romance Languages. During his college years, Mr. Barlok pledged the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and was the Captain of the school's football team. He was the Vice President for the Equitable Life Assurance Society serving for 32 years until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Cheshire and a long time Cheshire resident.

Besides his wife of 46 years, Mr. Barlok is survived by his sons Scott Barlok and his wife Jane of Cheshire and Jeffrey Barlok and his wife Tracy of Saratoga Springs, NY; his daughter Dodi Gidicsin and her husband James of Cheshire; his brother Andrew Barlok of Denver, PA; and seven grandchildren Sara, Zachary, Katie, Danny, Stephanie, Gregory and Jenny.

Arrangements ' A memorial service will be held on Friday January 30, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire.
