WALLINGFORD - Robert M. Williams, 47, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at his home. He was the husband and best friend of Lisa (Knox) Williams.
Bob was born April 15, 1963, in Waterbury, the cherished son of Robert F. and Kathleen (Furlong) Williams of Cheshire. A graduate of Cheshire High School, he moved to Wallingford in 1988. Bob worked in the lumber and hardware industry for over twenty-five years, currently at Lyon and Billard in Cheshire.
Beside his wife and his parents, Bob is survived by his beloved daughter Erin Elizabeth of Wallingford; his brother Brian and his wife Caroline, and their children Emily, Hannah and Charlie, all of Cheshire; his sister Maureen Hunt and her husband Kevin and their children Ashley and Brianna, of Cheshire; sister-in-law Sarah Lovell and her husband Chris and their children Andrew and Evan, of Thomaston; brother-in-law Del Knox and his wife Kara, and their children Jesse, Tyler and Michaela of Morris; brother-in-law Chip Knox and his son Carter of Morris; brother-in-law Kurt Knox and his wife Kim, and their children Kaiden and Kolton, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bob, Bubba, Bobby - however you knew him - was a very thoughtful man. His family and friends were very important to him, and he was an example of how to love, laugh and care for others. He naturally fell into mentoring nephews and nieces, offering his many "pearls of wisdom" to help guide them. By far, his life's proudest accomplishment is his daughter - they share the same love of a witty remark, a great ball game and a good meal.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony Street, Wallingford. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Cheshire. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street.
