Robert D. Nethery

CHESHIRE- Robert D. Nethery, 94, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Helen (Krayniak) Nethery for 71 years.

Bob Nethery was born September 21, 1927 in Passiac, NJ, son of the late Robert and Mary (Liddel) Nethery. He retired from Uniroyal Chemical after 45 years, where he worked as a laboratory technician, employed in New Jersey. He moved to Connecticut in 1972, when the company was relocated here. He served his country, with distinction, during WW II, in the United States Navy.

In addition to his wife, Bob will be mourned his daughter, Barbara (Nethery) Jagielski, her husband, Paul, and their son Bobby. Bob was predeceased by his son, Robert W. Nethery, and grandson, Edward N. Jagielski.

The family wants to thank the Nurses, Doctors and Staff of Mid-State Medical Center for the kindness, caring and compassion they gave Bob and his family.

Arrangements- Funeral services for Robert Nethery will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. Burial will be in St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery in Waterbury, at a date to be announced. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in his name, may be made to West Hartford Special Olympics at PO Box 271317, West Hartford, CT 06127, for his grandson’s (Bobby Jagielski) activities.
