CHESHIRE - Robert A. Held, 32, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Robert was born September 3, 1985 in Meriden, the son of Kathleen (Sattler) Held and the late Richard Held.
Educated in local schools, Robert graduated from Cheshire High School Class of 2003. He continued his education at SCSU where he obtained his Bachelors in Media Studies and at Quinnipiac University where he received his Masters in Journalism. He was known as a Freelance Writer and an area comic sharing his own "sit down" comedy. He was an avid sports entertainment fan and loved the Mets and Giants.
Besides his mother, Robert is survived by his sister Stephanie Held and her husband Jim of Middletown; his Grandmother, Virginia Sattler of Meriden, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Friday April 20, 2018, 9:15 am from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., to St. Bridget Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
