Raymond Bird
NAUGATUCK- Mr. Raymond Earl Bird, 83 of Naugatuck, passed away Wednesday Nov. 24, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Gertrude (Stenner) Bird.
Mr. Bird was born in Naugatuck, Nov. 3, 1927, a son of the late Earl R. and eita (Spencer) Bird and was a lifelong Naugatuck resident. He retired in 1986 from the Fryer Corp. where he worked as a toolmaker.
Besides his wife of 61 years, he leaves two sons, James Bird of Bethlehem and Oaul Bird of Thomaston; two daughters, Kathleen Bird of Naugatuck, and Sandra Ramponi of Oakville. He also leaves12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren He was predeceased by a son, Ralph Bird.
All services will be at the convenience of the family with burial in Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St, is assisting the family with arrangements.
