WATERBURY - Randall C. Nelson, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Lois J. (Horrocks) Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was born March 1, 1945 in Bristol, TN, the son of the late Jasper and Gloria (Leona) Nelson. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a Tool Maker.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Clara Nelson, Shelly Nelson and Tammy Nelson; his sons Randall Nelson Jr. and Daniel Nelson; his step-daughters, Melissa Harris and Christina Rhynhart; his brother Robert Nelson; his fifteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister Ruth.
The family would like to thank the staff of Abbott Terrace for their kindness and support.
Arrangements - The funeral with military honors will be held 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Avenue. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 200 Executive Boulevard, Southington, CT 06489-1058.
