SOUTHBURY- Patrick Joseph Clarke, 89, passed away Thursday March 13, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Deborah Theresa (O' Leary) Clarke.
He was born September 23, 1924 in Clairemorris, County Mayo, Ireland and was the son of the late Patrick and Anna Marie (Burns) Clarke.
Pat was an Aviculturist at the Bronx Zoo prior to his retirement. In his free time he loved to work in his garden and above all loved to collect and restore antiques especially clocks.
Besides his loving wife Pat is survived by two sons Patrick and his wife Rosemary Clarke of Irvington, NY and John Clarke of McDonough, GA; and two grandchildren Patrick James, and James Ryan Clarke.
Arrangements- A Funeral Mass for Pat will be held 11 A.M Saturday March 15, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St S, Southbury, CT 06488. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at church from 10 A.M until the time of the mass. The Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street is assisting with the arrangements. Donations in his name may be made to The American Red Cross, 64 Holmes Ave, Waterbury, CT 06710, or to St. Vincent DePaul, 34 Willow St, Waterbury, CT 06710.
