Norf Frank Petrucci
Norf Frank Petrucci, age 58, of Cheshire passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the devoted husband of Kathy (Wirta) Petrucci for over 32 years. Norf was born on March 25, 1957 in Hartford, son of the late Norf J. and Virginia (Boisfeuillet) Petrucci. Norf attended New Canaan public schools and was a proud graduate of NCHS class of 1975.
He was a Consultant for Kaman Industrial Technologies in Bloomfield. Affectionately nicknamed, “Mr. L.L. Bean”, he was an outdoor sportsman who found enjoyment in hunting, fishing, tying his own flies, and volunteering as a CARE instructor for the state of CT. He rooted for the Oakland Raiders and the NY Yankees; having met Mickey Mantle in person was one of his most memorable experiences. Norf will be remembered for his quick wit, optimistic nature, and being an amazing husband, father, and friend.
In addition to his wife Kathy, he is survived by his loving children, Christopher Petrucci and his girlfriend, Amy Kopchik; and Jennifer Petrucci and her boyfriend, Anthony Ruotolo. He is survived by in-laws Sophia Wirta, Donald Berry, Mark, Marnie, Robert, Theresa, Sophia, Alexander, Nicholas, Daniel, Nick, Grace, and Steph. He is also survived by the Petrucci family Theresa, Richard, Gail, Barry, Lesa, Frank, Karen, Phil, Donna and Rico D’Angelo; his very special dog/comrade, Sasha; and many cherished extended family members and friends.
Norf was a registered organ and tissue donor. His family honored his wishes, giving hope to others and their families.
A Celebration of Norf’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 6:30PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410. Friends are invited to greet his family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM to 6:30PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions in Norf’s name may be made to RBFF (Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation.) 500 Montgomery Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.
