Murray Finkelstein

Cheshire - Murray Finkelstein, 77, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of Sandra “Sandy” Finkelstein.

Mr. Finkelstein was born April 22, 1944, in New Haven, the son of the late Yale and Bessie (Kaplowitz) Finkelstein. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime resident of Cheshire and was the owner and operator of Discount Liquor of New Haven.

Besides his wife, Mr. Finkelstein is survived by his daughter Annamaria “Mia” Memery and her husband Robert; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Scottie and Patricia Gray; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; his close friends Vincent and Marilyn Mooney as well as his caregiver Wilfred “Willie” Rodriguez. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Arnold Fallon and his sisters Ruth Sinow and Dorothy Greenberg.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
