AVON- Meryl T. Cunliffe, 85, of Cheshire, passed away Saturday October 8, 2016 at Apple Rehab of Avon.
Ms. Cunliffe was born Joan Meryl July 5, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late Henry and Liberta Tebbe.
Meryl was a fashion, glamour and commercial print model with J. Power and Frances Gill Model Agencies in NYC. She was featured in magazines, newspapers and TV. Meryl was a graduate of the New York School of Design.
Meryl moved to Cheshire in 1976 with her Son. She earned her Real Estate Sales License and graduated from the Connecticut Culinary Institute where she excelled at her love for cooking.
She is survived by her son Geoffrey Cunliffe of Weatogue; her sister Bette Davis Pease of Alpharetta, GA; and six nieces and nephews.
Arrangements- Meryl’s funeral service will be held 11 A.M, Friday, October 14, 2016 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, 06410. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Rd, 06410. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 A.M until her service begins at the funeral home.
