Mary Lechus

WOLCOTT - Mary K. Lechus, 93, passed away peacefully, Friday June 14, 2013 at the VITAS unit at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by those who loved her. She was the wife of the late Michael E. Lechus.

Mrs. Lechus was born in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Karil and Frances (Ledwin) Kalinowski. Mary retired from Tech Systems in Thomaston and was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lechus is survived by her sister Frances Byrnes of Watertown; her brothers Walter, Daniel and Paul Kalinowski of Wolcott; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl and Sgt. Major John Kalinowski.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 19, 2013, 10 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 3000 North Main St., Waterbury. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until the start of the service at 10. Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be made to the Mission Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 3000 North Main St., Waterbury, CT 06704.
