CHESHIRE – Mary Shepard, 75, passed away Saturday June 28, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was the devoted wife of Otis Shepard.
Mary was born November 24, 1938 in New Haven, the daughter of the late Ellis and Mary (Smith) Anderson. She was a 1956 graduate of North Haven High School and continued her education at Becker Junior College in Worchester, MA, graduating in 1962 with an Associate's Degree. She was a secretary for many years and enjoyed traveling with her husband to Hawaii, Jamaica, Florida, Texas, and Canada.
Besides her husband of over 50 years, Mary is survived by her daughter, Lynne Provost and her husband Bill of Eldersburg, MD, her two grandchildren Eric and Jonathan, her brothers Theodore of FL, George of Old Lyme, her sister Judy Krantz of NC, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary's family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful love and support from friends during these difficult times.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
