South Windsor - Mary E. Bixby passed away September 4, 2009 surrounded by her family at her daughters home in Cheshire.
Mary was born in Hartford on July 13, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Peter Pagano and Pearly Brown. She worked for many years as a 2nd shift cashier at Tony's Mobil in South Windsor until her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed work and she had fondness for her coworkers and regular customers.
She is survived by three daughters Shelly and her husband Timothy Keegan of Cheshire, Kelly Kelley of South Windsor and Dawn Bixby of East Hartford; four brothers Thomas Schroll and Lawrence Pagano both of East Windsor, Leonard Schroll of Glastonbury and William Schroll of Vernon. Mary also leaves one sister Wilma Jean and her husband Dominic Gaurfi of East Hartford and four loving grandchildren Jessica, Joseph, Collin and Chase. She also left many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly, especially Christina.
A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at the Holiday Inn located at 363 Roberts Street, East Hartford, CT 06108 on Thursday September 10, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Breakfast will be served. A Celebration of her life, fellowship and time for personal eulogies. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 S. Main St. is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the John A. DeQuatto Cancer Center, 73 Hayes Street Manchester, CT 06040 (IN MEMORY OF MARY BIXBY).
