FORT MYERS, FL- Mary Ann Gugliotti, 73, formerly of Waterbury passed away Saturday June 1, 2013 in the VITAS unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Salvatore Gugliotti whom she was married to for fifty four years.

She was born January 28, 1940 in Waterbury daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Schwartz) Burnes.

Mary Ann attended and graduated from Crosby High School, and Western Connecticut State University. She also attended Central Connecticut State University for Graduate work. She was a Field Auditor for the State of Connecticut Labor Department prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Myerlee Country Club in Fort Myers, FL, a Literacy Volunteer and Red Cross Volunteer at Waterbury Hospital for many years. Mary Ann was involved with the State of Connecticut Foster Care Program. She loved animals, traveling, and was an avid dancer, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the VITAS unit at St. Mary's Hospital for the care they showed Mary Ann in her final days.

Besides her husband Mary Ann is survived by a son Paul and his wife Sandi Gugliotti of San Diego, CA; two daughters Marie and her husband John Kulesza of Plantsville, and Karen and her husband Samuel Harris of Stamford; a brother James Burnes of Bonita Springs, FL; a sister Elizabeth Hackett of Southbury; and four grandchildren Megan and Heather Kulesza, Samuel Harris III, and Carly Gugliotti. She was predeceased by a son Stephen Gugliotti, a brother Arthur Burnes, and a sister Roberta Hurley.

Arrangements- Mary Ann's funeral will be held 10:15 A.M Thursday June 6, 2013 from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St, Waterbury, 06702 to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St, Waterbury, 06702 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday June 5, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 56 Franklin St, Waterbury, 06706.
