WALLINGFORD; Mrs. Marjorie R. (Raymond) Shea, 85 of Wallingford and Winter Haven FL, formerly of Lebanon passed away Wednesday January 5, 2011 at Masonicare of Wallingford. She was the wife of Dr. James E. Shea.

Mrs. Shea was born February 23, 1925 in Elizabeth, NJ, a daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Crawford) Raymond. She was a special nursing assistant at Danbury Hospital retiring after many years of service. She was a deeply religious woman who loved children and pets. She especially enjoyed sewing and knitting for poor children. She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Church in Winter Haven and Church of the Holy Family in Hebron.

She leaves her son Kim Caudill, III of Texas, her daughter Mary Christine Caudill of Pennsylvania, her step son Richard Shea and his wife Dr. Judith Shea of Cheshire, her step daughters, Constance Grandy and her husband Bruce of Bristol and Patricia Halloran of Newton, ten grandchildren, including Jennifer Shea, RN who took care of Marjorie over the past several months. She was predeceased by her brothers, Larry and Charles.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shea will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street to Saint Bridget Church 175 Main Street in Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery in Ridgefield. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the procession leaves for Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The John Hopkins University Department of Pathology/Ross 558 720 Rutland Avenue Baltimore, MD 21205 ATTN: Elaine Delman.
