WOLCOTT - Marjorie “Marge” “Midge” Ferry, 90, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at VITAS at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Ray L. Ferry Jr. for 54 years.

Mrs. Ferry was born February 12, 1925 in Waterbury, one of 8 children to the late George and Bessie (Rowe) Truelove. She was a Gold Star Mother, the title given to Mothers who have lost a child while serving our country. She was an active member of the American Legion in Oakville and had worked for many years at Virjune Mfg. and retired from Specialty Packaging in Waterbury. She loved animals; trips to the Casino and especially spending time with her family.

Mrs. Ferry is survived by her daughters Sandra Valentino and her husband Ted of Wolcott, and Donna Sirignano and her husband Glenn of Wolcott; her four grandchildren, Ted Valentino Jr., Tami Rae Pelletier, Jason Sirignano, and Dr. Erick Sirignano; her five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She cherished her niece Patrice Charette who she thought of as a daughter. She is predeceased by her beloved Son, Ray Ferry III who was killed in Vietnam in 1968. A special thank you to her friends at Countryside Apts. for their help and compassion.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterbury Veterans Committee, 1625 Thomaston Ave., Waterbury, CT 06704.
