Marguerite Larmett, age 95, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her home in Wolcott with her loving family by her side. Marguerite was the devoted wife of the late John Stacey Larmett. She was born on July 17, 1918 in Waterbury daughter of the late Charles and Marguerite Hall Durner.

Marguerite was a graduate of Bunker Hill Grammar School, Crosby High School and attended Post College. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Waterbury, now in Plymouth, CT. She and her husband John enjoyed both their home in Wolcott and their home in Florida where they travelled to and from spending winters in FL and summers in CT. Marguerite loved taking care of her home and family, she enjoyed baking and gardening, reading and doing puzzles and having get-togethers. Marguerite also had a love for all animals, wildlife and her beloved pets Tiny, Buffy, Fluffy and Foxy. She was an amazing lady who enjoyed life to the fullest and doing everything that made her happy.

She is the beloved mother of John (Jack) Larmett of Wolcott, Marguerite (Peggy) Larmett Farr of Southington. Marguerite is the loving grandmother of Peter George Farr and his wife Heather; and Charles Durner Farr and his girlfriend Chrissy, all of Southington, and is also survived by her cherished great grandchildren Delaney Rose Farr and Dylan Anthony Farr of Southington; and her nieces Nancy Williams and Linda Tapken. She was predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Durner Tapken and Joan Ford.

Marguerite's services will be private and at the convenience of her family. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury has been entrusted with her arrangements.
