Margaret Hedges

Cheshire ' Margaret "Peggy" Hedges, 88, formerly of Southwood Ct. passed away Sunday morning January 25, 2009. She was the wife of the late Francis X. Hedges.

Mrs. Hedges was born September 4, 1920 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Dennis and Anna (Ryan) Luddy. She was a Secretary for Superior Court for many years and was a long time Waterbury resident before moving to Cheshire in 1998. During her years in Waterbury she was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and became a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church when she moved to Cheshire.

Mrs. Hedges is survived by her nephews John T. Cox of Newington, John D. Brennan of Trumbull and James P. Brennan of Cheshire; her niece Maribeth Jette of Cheshire and several great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2009 10:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the funeral procession leaves for church.
