CHESHIRE - Lucille M. Fitzsimmons, 85, of Plantsville and formerly of Cheshire where she lived for 51 years, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Fitzsimmons Jr. who passed away in 2001.

Mrs. Fitzsimmons was born April 2, 1930 in Zanesville, OH, the daughter of the late McDonald and Catherine (Marshall) Place. She was an active communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church and had worked for over 20 years for the Cheshire Police Department as a Records Secretary.

She is survived by her sons Thomas Fitzsimmons and his wife Linda of Newark, OH, James Fitzsimmons and his wife Sandy of Brentwood, TN, Paul Fitzsimmons of Cheshire, Andrew Fitzsimmons and his wife Debbie of Bel Air, MD, Matthew Fitzsimmons of Chandler, AZ, Robert Fitzsimmons and his wife Cathy of Marion, IA; her daughters Eileen Rauccio of Wallingford, Annette Morello and her husband Ron of Charlestown, NH, Loretta Camp and her husband Andy of Cheshire, Linda Hughes and her husband Michael of Southington, and Cheryl Staub and her husband Rick of Portland, her 29 grandchildren; as well as her 9 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her siblings Arthur and Maxine.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 19, 2015 9:45 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10:30. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
