Lucile May Parsons

CHESHIRE – Lucile May Parsons, 96, passed away on October 20, 2018 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT.

Ms. Parsons was born May 22, 1922 in Westhampton, MA the daughter of the late Henry and Louise (Sandy) Parsons. She was an elementary school teacher in NY and NH as well as East Haven, CT. She obtained various degrees from Smith College, North Adams Teachers College, as well as Southern Connecticut State University. Lucile served her country with honor and pride with the US Navy.She was an active member of the First Congregational (Old Stone) Church in East Haven. She was known for her love of gardening, cooking, quilting and sewing.

Ms. Parsons is survived by her daughter Gwin Cook with whom she made her home in Cheshire; her grandchildren Jennifer Dooling (Ed) and Leslie Lahoud (John); her great grandchildren Olivia Theroux, Piper, Nora, and Grace Dooling, Max, Cecelia and Alyx Lahoud; and her loving niece Louise who came from New Hampshire to visit often. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son Kenneth “Chris” Osborne and her five siblings.

Lucile’s family would like to recognize and thank the wonderful staff of Masonicare Health Center and Masonicare Home Health & Hospice who loved and cared for her like she was their own family member.
