Lucia W. Yu

CHESHIRE - Lucia W. Yu, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Mid-State Medical Center.

Lucia was born January 2, 1936 in China. She came to the U.S. in the 1950's and attended Marycrest College in Iowa. She lived in New York City where she worked for Pan Am and Chase Manhattan Bank as a System Specialist. After retirement, she worked part time for the City of New York at the Mayor's Office before moving to Cheshire. She loved fine arts and was a regular attendant at Lincoln Center for ballet and opera performances. She was also a tour guide and a curator for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

She is survived by her Niece, Nicole J. Tung, Nicole's husband Brian Tubby and their daughter Jenna, her sister Qing Yu; her brother Ming Yu; as well as her Nephew, Lawrence Tung. She was predeceased by her sister Lin Yu.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.
