THOMASTON- Louis R. Gurske,51, passed away on October 12, 2016.
Louis was born in Kearny, NJ on March 15, 1965. He graduated Cheshire High School in 1983. He worked as a Technician for Yale University for over 30 years. He was a devoted family member and friend who enjoyed numerous activities and hobbies including metal detecting and genealogy research, etc.
Louis is survived by his twin brother, Warren Gurske, of Thomaston, CT, Frank DeLauro, brother and Barbara DeLauro, mother, of Cheshire, CT and Vincent DeLauro, nephew, of Watertown, CT. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph DeLauro.
Arrangements- A Private graveside service will be held at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Burial will follow after the service and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 is assisting with the arrangements. Memorial donations in Mr. Gurske’s name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
