Louis Josef Sampt

WATERBURY; Louis Josef Sampt, 83 of Waterbury passed away Wednesday January 19, 2022 at Abbott Terrace Health Center in Waterbury. He was the husband of Bonnie M. (Bashaw) Sampt.

Louis was born October 24, 1938 in Waterbury, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Fristsch) Sampt and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. He was a graduate of Saint Margaret’s Grammar School and had worked as a Sanitation Engineer for the City of Waterbury retiring in 1991 after 30 years of service.

Besides his wife Bonnie, he leaves his son Michael Sampt of Waterbury, his daughters, Julie Sampt and Krystle Sampt both of Waterbury, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John Sampt and his sister Barbara Iaiennaro.

Family and friends may gather at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury 496 Chase Avenue on Saturday February 5, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
