Linda D. Ausmus

CHESHIRE - Linda Susan (Dronsick) Ausmus, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her home. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry J. Ausmus, her children Brad (Liz) of California and Laura of Cheshire, her grandchildren Sophie and Abby Ausmus and Kelsey and Devin Peluso, and her brother David Dronsick (Linda).

Lin was born May 18, 1943 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Jaques and Adele (Friedman) Dronsick. She grew up in Brookline, MA and attended Drew University where she met her husband Harry. As a Cheshire resident since the early 1970s, Lin was an active member of the community serving on the Board of Directors for the Cheshire Park and Recreation as well as the Democratic Town Committee. She enjoyed her more than 30 years working for SNET in New Haven in their marketing department, before retiring and spending summers in Cape Cod. An avid baseball fan and voracious reader, Lin’s outgoing personality and warm smile will be missed by many from Cheshire, CT to Dennis, MA.

Arrangements – Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 9, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
