Kevin Joseph Brosnahan

CHESHIRE – Kevin Joseph Brosnahan, 54, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Middlesex Hospital after a long illness. He was surrounded by loving family at the time of his passing.

Kevin was born November 11, 1966, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Brian Brosnahan and the late Margaret Patricia (Foley) Brosnahan. He attended Cheshire public schools, graduating from Cheshire High School in 1985, and went on to train as a computer programmer. He worked in that field for many years, and always embraced the challenge of learning a new programming language. Kevin enjoyed diverse and eclectic hobbies. He was a brilliant poet, a talented jewelry maker, and an ardent collector of rare coins. He had a gentle soul, a lighthearted sense of humor, and a kind word for all. He loved animals, and cherished the family pets.

Besides his father, Kevin is survived by his four sisters, Kathleen Fish, and her husband Drew of Eden Prairie, MN, Margaret Brosnahan of Scottsdale, AZ, Nora Toscano and her husband John of Cheshire, and Bridget Brosnahan of Cheshire, and his beloved niece and nephews, Julia, Luke and P.J. Marcouiller, and Jack and Aedan Fish.

Arrangements – Funeral services and committal will be private in St. Bridget Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Kevin felt great compassion for those who experienced homelessness and other social injustices. In this spirit, those wishing to make memorial contributions might consider the St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury (https://www.svdpmission.org/general-donation).
