Joseph Olsovey

BOYNTON BEACH, FL.- Mr. Joseph Olsovey, 89 of Boynton, Beach, FL, passed away Sunday Mar. 20, 2010 at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach. He was the husband of Emily (Chanko) Olsovey.

Mr. Olsovey was born in New Britain, CT Feb. 24, 1922, a son of the late Stanley and Agnes (Lepkowicz) Olsovey and formerly had lived in Oxford, prior to moving to Florida in 1990. They had spent summers here since making the residence in Florida. Mr. Olsovey retired in 1981 from Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, CT with over 32 years of service.

Besides his wife of 67 years, he leaves one daughter, Jo-Ann Biggins and her husband Douglas of Boynton Beach and one granddaughter Lisa Zanghi and her husband Pete.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Mar. 25 at 11 am at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 am until the time of the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place Memphis, TN 38105.
