Jose Angel Negron Gonzalez

Jose Angel Negron Gonzalez, age 74, of Waterbury entered into rest peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2019 with his family by his side at St. Mary’s VITAS in Waterbury. He was born on January, 25, 1945 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of the late Jose Negron and Josefina Gonzalez, and was a lifelong resident of Puerto Rice before coming to Waterbury one month ago.
Jose worked in commercial diving as a welding diver throughout the Caribbean until his retirement in 2014. He enjoyed fishing and the market in Puerto Rico, and Dominos with his friends after their catch.
Jose is the beloved father of Brenda Negron, and Moraima Negron, both of Waterbury; Sor Negron of Tampa, FL; Sandra Negron, Jose Negron and Vanessa Negron, all of Waterbury. He also leaves his many loving grandchildren and cherished great-grandchildren; his fiancée, Hilda DeJesus; his sisters, Maria Theresa, Ramonita, Minerva Negron Gonzalez and Isabel Negron; and his former wife, Amalia Maldonado; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Rual, Jose and Israel Negron Gonzalez.
