John P. 'Johnny Jac' Jacaruso Jr.

CHESHIRE - John P. “Johnny Jac” Jacaruso Jr., 59, passed away after a long illness from complications of diabetes on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael’s Campus. He was the devoted husband of Janet (O'Connor) Jacaruso.

Johnny was born September 1, 1955 in Waterbury, the son of the late John P. and Nancy (Aceto) Jacaruso. He was a lifelong Cheshire resident where he was a graduate of Cheshire High School Class of 1974. He owned and operated Johnny's Farm Market and JD’s Driving Range for many years. He enjoyed playing cribbage with friends at the Notch Store, and belonged to the Godoam Club.

His family would like to thank the staff at the Highlands Health Care Center, St Raphael's Hospital, as well as Fresenius Medical Care for their loving care and support.

Besides his wife Janet, Johnny is survived by his sons John David "JD" Jacaruso and Justin Anthony Jacaruso; his loving dog, Jack; his father-in-law, Raymond O'Connor; brothers-in-law, Stephen O'Connor, Thomas O'Connor and Brian O'Connor; his nieces and nephews, Garret, Kelly, Brendan, Megan; several cousins; and his lifelong friend, Diane Billings. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his mother-in-law Sally H. O'Connor and is brother-in-law David O'Connor.

Arrangements – A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 1PM at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St, Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 – 8PM at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main Street, Cheshire.
