John Ferraro

CHESHIRE - Mr. John Ferraro Sr., 88, passed away Monday February 6, 2012 at Meridian Manor in Waterbury. He was husband of the late Estelle (Mastrioantonio) Ferraro.

Mr. Ferraro was born July 29, 1923 in Hamden, the son of the late Gerardo and Mary (Bernardo) Ferraro. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He worked in construction and was a member of the Construction and Labor Union #455. He was a longtime Cheshire resident.

Mr. Ferraro is survived by his son John J. Ferraro Jr. of Cheshire; his siblings Joseph Ferraro and his wife Janet, Concetta Laudano and her husband Joseph, Rocco Ferraro and his wife Corene. He is predeceased by his sibling Camille Bunnell, Angelina Renchy, Mary and her husband Al Giammattei and Theodore and his wife Ellie Ferraro.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church and there are no calling hours. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Waterbury ARC 1929 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
