John Adams

Mr. John W. Adams, 73, of Naugatuck, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2013.

Mr. Smith was born in East Lyme, June 9, 1940, a son of the late Charles and Olive Mae (Smith) Adams, and was a borough resident for the past 25 years. He had formerly been a resident of the lower Naugatuck valley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had been a truck driver prior to his retirement.

He leaves his children, John A. Adams of Shelton, and John Walter Adams of Seymour, Lisa D'Agostino of Trumbull, and Jodi Cochrane of Greenville, S.C.; his siblings, Louis Smith of New Fairfield, and Lois Donfrio of Stratford and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Magini.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 11, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Homes of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral.
