Cheshire ' Janet B. Hammond, 69, of Greens Loop Dr, passed away Thursday February 5, 2009 at the Masonic Home of Wallingford.
Mrs. Hammond was born November 2, 1939 in Lynn, MA the daughter of the late John S. and Gladys (Coakley) Brown. She was a long time Cheshire resident where she belonged to the Cheshire Garden Club. She enjoyed bowling and volunteering at the Shubert Theater.
Mrs. Hammond is survived by her son Arthur L. Hammond and his wife Marisa of Prospect; her daughter Kathryn Hammond Reinhardt and her husband Donald of White Plains, MD; two brothers Stan and Rick Brown; two sisters Linda Landry and Sharon Kaloust; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Monday February 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
