James McMahon

WATERBURY- Mr. James Patrick McMahon, of Waterbury, passed away on November 9, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. His last days were spent in the company of family and friends.

James was born in Brooklyn, NY (Bay Ridge/Fort Hamilton) on December 9, 1942. He is predeceased by his parents, James Francis Xavier McMahon and Marie (Termini) McMahon.

He has been a CT resident for the past 30 plus years. He is survived by his wife, Pamela McMahon of Waterbury. He had a long career with Prudential in the financial services industry and was semi-retired. He was a Mason, Elk and a Shriner. He enjoyed the NY Yankees, dancing and music, and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his wife James is survived by four daughters, Lora McMahon and her partner James Dubois of Waterbury, Kellie McMahon of Waterbury, Katie (McMahon) Mauriello and her husband Joseph Mauriello of Bristol, and Betsy McMahon of Waterbury. He has two grandsons which he adored Joseph James Mauriello and Matthew Gilbert Mauriello.

He also leaves behind the mother of his children and first wife of 17 years, Suanne (Swanee) McMahon of Bristol.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the amazing staff of the Vitas Hospice Unit at St. Mary's hospital for the extraordinary care they provided to James.

Arrangements- Calling hours for James will be held Friday November 11, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M at the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St, Waterbury, 06702. His funeral will be held Saturday November 12, 2011 9:15 A.M from the funeral home to St. Michael's Church, 62 Saint Michael Drive, Waterbury, 06704 for a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. Burial will be held on Monday November 14, 2011 at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Donations in James name may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492 or to VITAS, 1579 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury, CT 06762.
