CHESHIRE - Jacquelyn O. DeStefano, 86, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald A. DeStefano to whom she was married for 57 years.

Mrs. DeStefano was born August 15, 1928 in Emmaus, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Merle Schaup Ortt. Jackie was a graduate of Demarest High School, Hoboken, NJ and Packard Junior College in New York, NY. She began her career as an executive secretary for several notable firms in New York City before settling in Cheshire in the mid 60’s. Jackie and her husband also owned the artisan boutique stores, Current Crafts in Hamden and Feats of Clay in Milford, Southbury, & Stamford. She ended her career as the Executive Secretary at Calcagni Real Estate in Cheshire until her retirement in the mid-1990s. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling across the United States and Europe with her late husband Don.

She is survived by her daughter Daria Cedio and her husband Kevin of Cheshire; her son Donald DeStefano of Waterbury and his fiancé Cathy Angiolillo of Middlebury; her adored grandchildren Mia and Taryn Tosetti and step-grandchildren, Tara and Kevin Cedio Jr.; her former son-in-law, Eugene Tosetti; as well as her Cousin, Dolores Buckley of Allentown, PA.. She is predeceased by her Brother, William.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
