Jacqueline Olander

WALLINGFORD - Jacqueline M. Olander, 82, passed away Friday February 11, 2011 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford surrounded by family.

Mrs. Olander was born July 8, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Powell) Benfari. She lived in Kingston, New York before settling in Connecticut. Jacqui worked as a bookkeeper and later as an architectural draftsperson. She loved collecting dolls and miniatures. She was a longtime Wallingford resident who volunteered for the last 20 years at Masonicare.

Mrs. Olander is survived by her sons Roger Olander and his wife Carolyn of Cheshire, Timothy Olander of Milford; her daughter Audrey Olander of Prospect; her grandchildren Lindsey and Eric Olander; as well as her six nieces. She is predeceased by her brother Alfred Benfari.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery.
