Italia Giraldi

NAUGATUCK-Italia "Tolly" Giraldi, 93, passed with eternal grace from this world on October 26,2010. She was the wife of the late Oswaldo, whom she adored.

"Tolly" as she was known by friends and family was born June 2nd 1917. She was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, retired from Uniroyal. Her passions were antiques, and cooking. She traveled and lived life in good health until a few years ago when she moved to Highland Health in Cheshire. Her traveling partner and friend of many years, Frank Gilroy, passed away earlier this year.

Italia leaves her sisters Althea Simons and Inez Gabriel, both of Naugatuck. She is predeceased by her brothers, Dolphi, Evo, Sam, & Louis Gabriel of Naugatuck.

Arrangements - A private family service is planned and burial in St. James Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street is entrusted with arrangements.
