Howard Hassenfeldt

NAUGATUCK - Howard Hassenfeldt, Sr., 72, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Beatrice A. (Altieri) Hassenfeldt.

Mr. Hassenfeldt was born April 3, 1942 in Waterbury, the son of the late John L. and Lillian (Kraft) Hassenfeldt. He was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck where he was employed at Peter Paul for approximately 40 years.

Besides his loving wife of 49 years, he is survived by his sons Howard Jr. and his wife Lisa of Seymour, and Lewis Allen and his wife Anita of Naugatuck; his brothers John L. Hassenfeldt Jr. and his wife Grace of Naugatuck and Richard A. Hassenfeldt of Naugatuck; his five grandchildren, Lewis Jr., Lyndsey, Raymond, Zacharius, and Courtney; his two great-grandchildren Miles and Chance; his two nieces Denise and Diane, and a nephew Joseph.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home.
