CHESHIRE- Henry G. Grehl, 85, passed away Friday February 17, 2012 at The Masonic Home in Wallingford. He was the husband of Eileen M. (Spelman) Grehl whom he was married to for 62 years.
He was born April 14, 1926 in Bronx, NY son of the late Henry and Veronica (Barry) Grehl.
Henry was a veteran serving with the United States Navy, a banker at The First Constitution Bank prior to his retirement, and a member of the V.F.W Post 5702 in Pearl River, NY.
Besides his wife Henry is survived by two sons James Grehl of Lighthouse, FL, and Thomas and his wife Michelle Grehl of Taipei, Taiwan; a daughter Maureen and her husband John Murray of Cheshire, and nine grandchildren.
Arrangements- Calling hours for Henry will be held Tuesday February 21, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M at The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. His funeral will be Wednesday February 22, 2012 from the funeral home to St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, 06410 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Rd, 06410. Donations in Henry's name may be made to American Parkinson's Disease, 27 Allendale Ave, North Haven, CT 06473.
