NAUGATUCK – Hallock “Hal” “Yoch” E. Yocher, 37, passed away Wednesday July 20, 2016. He was the husband of Kathleen (Pierce) Yocher.

Hal was born February 20, 1979 the son of Edwin and Geralyn (Cole) Yocher. He grew up in East Hampton and continued his education at UCONN Stores obtaining his Bachelors in Biology. He served his country in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force and served two combat tours in Iraq. He was a ten year veteran of the Waterbury Police Department.

Besides his wife of 10 years and his parents, Hal is survived by his children Hallock Pierce Ronald Yocher, Kenneth Pierce Edwin Yocher and Caroline Love Pierce Yocher; his sister Sherisa A. Yocher ; his father and mother-in law Kenneth and Marion Pierce; his sisters in law Veronica Pierce, Amy Pierce-Grigholm and her husband Bjorn, and Caroline Egan and her husband Michael; his nieces and nephews Ryan Michael Egan, Michael Patrick Egan, Willow Tindra Pierce Grigholm and Zoe Quinn Pierce Grigholm.

Arrangements – Funeral services for Hal will be held on Monday July 25, 2016, 10 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave., to St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterbury Police Benevolent Association, 255 East Main St., Waterbury, CT 06702 or to St. Francis/St. Hedwig School 294 Church St, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
