WATERBURY- Mr. Guillermo Betancourt, 73, of Waterbury, passed away Thursday January 26, 2012 at the VITAS Hospice unit at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Betancourt was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Jan. 10, 1939 a son of the late Casimiro Betancourt and Petrona Carrsquillo and moved to Waterbury in 2002. While a resident of Puerto Rico, he was employed by the Commonwealth of Puetro Rico as a Pharmacy Technician.
He leaves a son Guillermo Betancourt, Jr. of Puerto Rico; four brothers, David Betancourt, German Betancourt, Elpidio Betancourt, and Felix Betancourt; two sisters, Martha Betancourt and Ana Luz Betancourt all of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. All other services are private.
