Gertrude Pfluger

MERIDEN - Gertrude H. Pfluger, 93, passed away Friday December 31, 2010 at the Bradley Home in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Robert Pfluger who passed away in 1981.

Mrs. Pfluger was born October 26, 1917 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Karl and Schelli (Kleewein) Haidacher. She was a longtime Cheshire resident before moving to Meriden in 2007. She was beloved by all who knew her. She was known by her family for her delicious apple pies, wonderful German potato salad and spaetzle. She was an excellent seamstress. She was always ready to help with a needle and thread. She will be missedAuf Wiedersehen.

Mrs. Pfluger is survived by her son Karl Pfluger and his wife Joanne of Cheshire; her daughter Louise Brangiero and her husband Ronald of Meriden; her grandchildren Karla L. Ouellette and Mark R. Brangiero and his wife Marie; her great grandchildren Jessica, Zachary, Joscillyn, Isabel and Luca as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mrs. Pfluger is predeceased by her sister Mary Buehler and her great grandson Paul.

Gertrude's family would like to thank the entire staff of the Bradley Home for their outstanding kindness and love shown to her.

Arrangements - A graveside service will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Road, Cheshire. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bradley Home, 320 Colony St., Meriden, CT 06450. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
