EDGEWATER, FL- George R. Roberts, 90, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Edgewater, FL. He was the husband of Elaine (Archambault) Roberts.
He was born in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco in the Bahamas. He was the son of the late George R. and Mary Isabel (Weathersford) Roberts.
George was a retired Ironworker and worked on several hotels in Miami, FL, including the Fountain Bleau. He also had a boat with his brothers that serviced the lighthouses in the Bahamas until they were automated.
Arranegments- A Private Graveside service for George will be held at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Burial will be held after the service. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710 is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in his name may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
