Frank Pramuka

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Frank T. Pramuka, 81, of Shadduck Rd., Naugatuck, died early Saturday morning, April 18, 2009 at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Joan (Cantillon) Pramuka. Mr. Pramuka was born in Bridgeport, May 12, 1927, a son of the late Frank Pramuka, and the late Elizabeth (Pramuka) Szabo and had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 4 years, moving here from North Canaan. He was educated in the Bridgeport School system and was a graduate of Bassick High School. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Bridgeport Police Dept. as a member of the Detective Division in 1976 after 26 years of service. Besides his wife of 62 years, he leaves one son, Frank J. Pramuka and his wife, Jeanne of Southbury; one daughter, Joanne Passaro of Alva, FL. and one Half-Brother, Alexander Szabo of Silver Springs, MD; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 am from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Rd. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m
