Ethel Lanouette

CHESHIRE - Ethel Lanouette-Binette, 87, passed away July 17, 2010 at Masonicare in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Al Lanouette and John Binette.

Mrs. Lanouette-Binette was born July 14, 1923 in Chebeague Island, ME the daughter of the late Oliver and Martha (Ross) Newcomb. She was employed by Lewis Engineering for over thirty years until her retirement in 1985. She was a Cheshire resident for the last eight years having lived in St. Petersburg, FL as well as Naugatuck. She was a communicant of St. Bridget Church. She was known as an avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed reading books of a political nature.

Mrs. Lanouette-Binette is survived by her son George Stowell and his wife Gloria of Wallingford; her sisters Dorothy Young of Westbrook, ME and Barbara Wirzburger of Hollis, ME.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 22, 2010 10:30 from the Alderson Funeral Home 615 S. Main Street to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home until the funeral procession leaves for church.
